Nashville NTrak was founded in 1987. First started out at the Aardvarks hobby store on Gallatin Pike in Nashville. The members would meet there and build modules and also had a section that that ran through the hobby shop to entice people to become a part of the organization. The hobby shop has been closed for a number of years. At some point the members started meeting at the Tennessee Central Railway Museum, where we meet today. The location is 220 Willow St. Go the Directions page to find us.
We normally meet Thursday evenings starting at 3 to 4 pm till when we get tired. We are usually working on our "Permanent" layout or repairing and fixing NTrak modules that need work. The permanent layout is in 6 interlocking sections that can be lifted up on wheels and moved out of the meeting room to make room for events that the museum has been reserved for.
On Saturdays when there is an excursion train we run trains on the permanent layout for the riders to watch till it is time to board the train.
